Terms of use

1. Agreement

These terms are an agreement between you and ViSquared, the business/trade name operating STB for webOS (app ID com.visquared.app.stbwebos). By installing, accessing, or purchasing the app, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, do not use the app.

You must be legally able to enter this agreement. If you use the app for an organisation, you confirm that you are authorised to bind that organisation.

2. The app is a client only

You must configure your own compatible service. You are responsible for ensuring that:

• you have lawful rights and all necessary permissions to access and view the supplied service and content;
• your use follows your service provider's terms and all applicable laws;
• the configuration and credentials you enter are accurate and kept secure; and
• any network, provider, subscription, or data charges are paid.

ViSquared is not affiliated with your content or portal provider and cannot fix, renew, refund, or guarantee a third-party service.

3. Licence to use the app

We grant you a limited, personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable right to use the app on compatible LG TV devices for lawful purposes under these terms. ViSquared and its licensors retain all rights in the app, branding, design, and software.

You may not copy, sell, sublicense, rent, redistribute, circumvent protections in, or reverse engineer the app except where applicable law expressly allows it.

4. Trial and lifetime unlock

• The app includes a 14-day fully featured trial so you can evaluate compatibility and suitability before purchase.
• An unlock is a one-time $5.99 USD purchase for one TV. It removes the trial limit on the licensed TV without a recurring app fee.
• The unlock is associated with the TV's pseudonymous licence identity and does not automatically transfer to another or replacement TV.

"Lifetime" refers to continued access to the unlocked app on that licensed TV while the app remains available, technically compatible, and lawfully operable. It does not promise that a TV, third-party portal, platform, or store will operate forever.

The first-release price is $5.99 USD for each TV. Stripe Managed Payments processes the purchase. Any applicable taxes and the final amount are shown before you confirm payment.

5. Refunds

You may request a refund within 14 days of purchase under our refund policy. Nothing in these terms or that policy limits consumer cancellation, refund, warranty, or other statutory rights that cannot lawfully be excluded.

6. Acceptable use

You must not use the app to:

• access content or services without lawful authorisation;
• infringe copyright, privacy, access-control, or other rights;
• interfere with or overload the app, licensing service, or another system;
• introduce malware, automate abusive requests, evade licence controls, or conceal fraudulent activity; or
• break any applicable law.

We may limit or suspend licensing or support access where reasonably necessary to investigate abuse, protect the service, or comply with law. Where practical and lawful, we will explain the reason and provide a way to contact us.

7. Privacy

Our privacy policy explains the identifiers, telemetry, purchase information, and support data we process, along with your choices and rights.

8. Compatibility, updates, and availability

TV platforms, app stores, networks, and third-party services change independently of ViSquared. We do not guarantee compatibility with every TV, portal, format, or provider. Use the fully featured trial to test your setup.

ViSquared targets a global release across all LG Store regions and does not intentionally geo-block the app. Version 1.0 of the app and this site are English-only. Actual store listing and device compatibility can depend on LG's platform. Portal, channel, and content availability are controlled by your provider and may differ by location.

We may provide updates, change features, or discontinue versions to maintain security, compatibility, or legal compliance. Some updates may be required for continued use. We will take reasonable care in providing the app but cannot guarantee uninterrupted or error-free operation.

9. Third-party services

Your TV platform, portal, content provider, payment provider, and network are separate services governed by their own terms and privacy policies. ViSquared is not responsible for their content, availability, security, conduct, or changes.

10. Warranties and liability

Nothing in these terms excludes or limits liability that cannot be excluded under applicable law, including mandatory consumer rights. Subject to those rights, the app is provided on an "as available" basis and we do not promise that every third-party service will work with it.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, ViSquared is not responsible for indirect or consequential loss, loss caused by an unauthorised or unavailable third-party service, or loss caused by your configuration, network, or breach of these terms. Where liability may lawfully be limited, ViSquared's total liability relating to the app will not exceed the amount you paid for the affected app unlock.

11. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms to reflect changes to the app, providers, or law. The latest version will remain at this URL with its updated date. If a material change requires notice or consent under applicable law, we will provide it.

If one part of these terms is unenforceable, the remaining parts continue to apply. A delay in enforcing a term is not a waiver of it.
